There are many available dance studios that offer lessons on various dance styles. The common dances taught are Latin which includes the Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba and Jive, and street Latin such as Salsa, Merengue, and Mambo. They also teach dancing styles such as Freestyle, Classical Ballroom and Modern Ballroom, Waltz, Ballet, Boot Scootin', Belly Dancing and Pole Dancing.

Bridal waltz

It's what every bride or groom dreads - fluffing the bridal waltz in front of everyone on your wedding day! Dance schools offer the solution to embarrassment, from a one hour, last-minute lesson, to an extensive package. The first step is simple - choose a song that means the most to you both. Or mix it up with a combination of several songs.

The traditional bridal waltz usually involves three lessons. Or jazz it up a bit, with a package of dancing lessons to add to the waltz, for example the romantic rumba (a.k.a. the dance of love), a sensuous salsa, a quickstep, a foxtrot, or some jive. Typical wedding dance tuition usually involves three one-hour lessons. But some packages go up to 20 one-hour lessons and include partner spinning, dipping and lifting, and that ingredient you need most, confidence.

Bridal dance tuition prices vary, but as a rough guide expect to pay at least $50 per couple for a one-hour group lesson or $100 per couple for a private lesson; four one-hour group sessions for $160; extended packages tend to start at about $65 an hour. Call your local dance school for a guide to tuition prices in your area.
