Hot Tips

Sometimes we need a little more guidance from you to help refine your search. Consider these hints as you go ...

  • Don't know how to describe the product or service? Use Browse to find the right type of business.
  • Not sure what the headings mean? View information about some of the headings.
  • You can enter a suburb, town, postcode, city or state, or even a Yellow Pages® printed directory region. Leave it blank for all of Australia.
  • Vary the way you search, e.g. sometimes a single word works better than a series of words, or sometimes you might have to try more words.
  • Try a different way of spelling the business name if there are no results.
  • Want more results? The number of results will depend on the size of the area you are searching. Select a bigger location, like a greater city area rather than a suburb, to increase the number of results. —You can also expand your search by referring to the right hand column of the search results page under the Include Businesses and selecting the tick box/es, 'Servicing the area' and 'In surrounding suburbs'.
  • If you would like to refine your search results, refer to the right hand column and click on the 'Refine by location' or 'Refine by' options.
  • Try White Pages® Online for government-related needs. White Pages® Online has government listings searchable by name.
  • What do the numbers in brackets mean? Each link on the category results page has a number in brackets - this is the number of businesses that best match the descriptions you've used.
  • Directly under the bold heading links, you may see a second link which shows the businesses which offer the products, services or brands you have typed in. For example, if you searched for 'Orchids', you might see:
    • Florists--Retail (14)
      • ...with Orchids Plant (2)
This means there are 14 florists in your area and 2 of these have nominated that they sell Orchids. If you click on the second link you will see only these businesses.
  • Still no results? Try:
    • Alternative ways of spelling
    • Searching a larger area
    • Including surrounding suburbs
    • Businesses which service this area
