For listings on arboriculturists look under this Yellow™ heading. An arboriculturist is an individual who specialises in the growth, surgery, and maintenance of trees, hedgerows, and shrubs. This person might also be responsible for the groundwork on these plants.
An arboriculturist is involved in several aspects related to the proper growth and maintenance of trees, shrubs, and hedgerows. These could include thinning, “tree surgery,” planting and preservation, etc. An arboriculturist visits certain sites frequently, in order to oversee the proper growth of the plant. Additionally, they may also be asked to complete various inspections of the plants.
An arborist completes much of the duties of an arboriculturist but to a lesser degree. While the arboriculturist may be asked to do more “supervisory” level tasks, the arborist is most likely the one carrying out the actual work.
