Information regarding architects and architecture can be found under this Yellow™ heading. An architect is an individual who is involved in the overall design and creation of a building structure, such as a skyscraper, house, or other buildings. This individual is typically responsible for drawing plans up as to different specifications of the building, in regards to various aspects of its overall design. These designs could include measurements as to the buildings size, weight, electrical layout, etc.
An architect must obtain special certification to ensure that they are properly licensed to effectively complete their job. This can include several years of education as well as testing for the license itself. The architect must prove that their designs are both safe and structurally sound before they have them approved for construction. This process includes several intricate measurements that ensure that the building’s structure is stable, and willing to withstand a certain degree of damage (i.e. certain weather, normal “wear and tear”, etc.).
Architecture design can be completed either by paper; the bulk of the work begin completed by hand measurements; or by new advanced computer software programs. These programs allow the architect to complete measurements, design, and some implementation with greater ease, and far more precision. This is one of the many innovations that allow the architect to complete their job safely and effectively.
