Information on bands, orchestras, and choirs can be found under this Yellow™ heading. A band is a group of individuals that come together with the sole intention of making music from various instruments. An orchestra is similar to a band but generally consists of a larger group of individuals (around 20 to 30). A choir is a group of singers who use their voices to make music, as no instruments are involved.
Bands typically will provide shows or concerts for individuals at different venues. Music can range from folk, rock and roll, country, etc. An orchestra is a combination of several instruments, led by an individual or conductor. Orchestra performances are generally more formal and largely play classical music. Choirs can range from a few to several individuals that come together to sing. Choirs are generally found in churches or schools.
These music groups are the most common groups that come together with the intention of entertaining with music.
