Information on billiards tables and accessories can be found under this Yellow™ heading. A billiards table is a table that is fitted with a tight cloth. The table also contains six holes, or pockets, which are designed for the player to hit the ball into with a cue stick. Each opponent has a certain number of balls in which they need to get into the pocket. Generally the balls are split by “stripes” or “solids”. Once a player has gotten all of his / her balls into the pocket, the objective is to get the final ball, or the “8” ball into the pocket. If they are able to accomplish this effectively, they have won the game. Billiards tables are generally available through a retailer who specialises in such a product. Tables range in size, style, material, etc., as well as vary in pricing dependent on how elaborate one wants the table to be. Billiards accessories can range from cue sticks, to chalk (that is applied to the cue stick to sharpen one’s shot), balls, etc. Typically a billiards table retailer will also sell accessories as well. Various games can be played with a billiards table, although the most common is the normal game of billiards. Other games include “9 Ball,” where the players will only use a portion of the balls for play and must shoot them in the pockets in numerical order.
