You will find information on can-making machinery under this Yellow™ heading. Can-making machinery is equipment used for the production of aluminium (or other metal) cans. Can-making machinery consists of several different pieces of equipment each having their own specific role in the production process. Cans are usually produced in bulk in large plants and shipped off to clients directly from the factory. As cans are not generally sold for retail purposes and are used for filling of a product, a retailer is rarely involved. Search with Yellow™ for information on can machinery and manufacturers in Australia.
Cans are made in several different steps, each by a different piece of machinery. Raw aluminium is first pressed into small cup-like shapes that are fed along a belt to the next machine that stretches the cup into a can. The next step of the process involves cleaning and coating followed by the printing of a design or a logo (i.e. a soda company) on the can itself. The can is then topped, inspected, and shipped off to the retailer for filling of their product.
Although machinery will vary, depending on what type of equipment is required; for the most part you could expect to find the same general equipment for the making of cans.
