Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park is a public cemetery and crematorium situated on Crown Land which is administered by the Botany Cemetery and Eastern Suburbs Crematorium Trusts. The trustees are appointed by the Minister for Lands.
Our Speciality
We offer the convenience of an on-site funeral home, crematorium with two elegant art-deco chapels, a cemetery in a peaceful and serene environment overlooking Botany Bay, a cafe; and condolence centre with florist, and a large choice of memorials in award-winning formal gardens and in tranquil natural parkland areas.
Our south chapel has the capacity to comfortably seat up to 105 people. The wide screen colour monitor in the adjoining Columbarium enables additional friends to participate in the service.
Our west chapel has seating for up to 60 people. It is a popular choice for smaller, intimate gatherings providing a calm, peaceful and befitting place of remembrance to reflect and celebrate the life of their loved one.

If the owner of the grave is deceased, who has legal claim?
The next of kin being the deceased's spouse followed by children unless otherwise determined in the deceased's Will.
Does the ownership of a crypt automatically go to my family when I die?
The ownership stays in the original holder's name, but the family can request with the correct supporting documentation to have it transferred.
Can a third interment occur in a grave?
A third interment may be possible at ESMP subject to a site inspection and approval by the cemetery trustees. Please note that in relation to burials, it is wise first to check with the cemetery office as practices vary between cemeteries as each has their own guidelines.
What happens when someone dies interstate?
When someone dies interstate or some distance from the place of burial or cremation, the Funeral Home will arrange for the body to be transferred to the location nominated by the family.
