  • I am having a colonoscopy, why do I have to take the bowel preparation?

The bowel needs to be empty to allow for a complete examination, any large particles or debris within the bowel may obscure the vision of the Endoscopist leading to an incomplete examination.

  • Do I need a referral to make an appointment?

Mogo Day Surgery will only accept referred patients. It is a requirement of Medicare and medical insurance companies that a current referral is in place in relation to the procedure being performed and the specialist being seen. Referrals are valid for 12 months and it is the patient's responsibility to ensure the referral has not expired.

  • How long will I be at Mogo Day Surgery?

On average you will be at our centre for approximately four (4) hours, it is advised that you ask our reception staff when you book in as they may be able to give you a better approximation.
