    In Queensland this is the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008.

  • How do I find out what type and size of fire extinguisher I need?

    The type and size of fire extinguisher required is dependent on the risk, and the class and size of the building. The Building Code of Australia provides guidelines and references the Australian Standard AS 2444 - Portables & Fire blankets Selection & Location.

  • How often do I have to have my fire equipment maintained?

    The Australian Standard AS1851 provides the scope and frequency of inspection, testing, maintenance and survey of the different types of fire protection equipment. This varies according to what type of fire equipment is installed.
