25% of the average Australian household's energy is used for water heating so a solar water heater can make a big reduction in your total energy use.
Solar water heating is a very efficient process that captures the heat directly from the sun. Collector panels are installed on your roof. These use a dark surface to trap the sun’s heat and transfer it to the water circulating inside.
The Solahart Heat Pump systems use efficient heat pump technology to extract heat from the surrounding air to heat water - like a fridge in reverse. Like its solar cousins, the heat pump has an electric back up function.
How does a solar power system work?
Solar power systems use photovoltaic (PV) cells to produce electricity. When sunlight hits a solar power system, direct current (DC) electricity is produced. This is converted into 240V alternating current (AC) using an inverter.
