Who can I talk to?

At Taylor and Sons we have an experienced, licenced plumber in the office at all times. We are happy to discuss any of your plumbing needs and problems anytime.

How do I know if my drain is blocked?

Any abnormal smells or gurgling sounds are often the early signs of blockage. Obviously if the toilet is slow to drain or the water level changes it's time to call us. These things usually show up as the washing machine or dishwasher finishes a cycle. Best to get on to these problems as soon as possible.

Can you assist with bathroom and kitchen renovations?

Of course. Renovation work is usually done in 2 stages. Firstly all of the water and waste pipes need to be "roughed in" or placed in the correct positions. The carpenter, plasterer, cabinet maker and tiler can then perform their works. The plumber then returns to "fit off" or connect the new fixtures or appliances. These items could include; toilet suites, tapware, vanities, sinks, troughs, baths/showers, dishwashers, insinkerators, water filters, gas cooktops and ovens.

Do you change washers?

Servicing and repairing tapware is one of our daily tasks, but we do more than just change the washers. A full tap service not only stops those annoying leaks and drips but leaves the taps smooth and easy to operate. We are up to date with all of the latest tapware and mixer taps.

Hot Water Systems. Where to start.

No hot water? Don't panic, call us first.We are experienced in all hot water repairs and replacement and always aim to restore hot water the same day, electric or gas. If the unit can be repaired we will do so, if the unit is burst we can supply and install all major brands including Rheem, Vulcan, Aquamax, Dux, Rinnai and Bosch. It is important to match the correct unit to the application, energy wise, budget wise and efficiency wise. Feel free to call and discuss anytime.

What is a Continuous flow hot water system?

A "continuous flow" or "instantaneous" hot water system heats water as it is used and does not store water so can never "run out". These are suitable where there is a large or constant demand for hot water or where there are space limitations.

Do you offer Roof Plumbing Services?

We use a proven systematic approach to all roof leaks and problems. Only thorough testing can successfully locate roof leaks, not only before repair work but after as well to ensure a water tight result.

Gas Leaks, what to do?

Again, call us first to safely isolate your gas supply to remove any danger. The same systematic approach is used to locate and repair dangerous gas leaks from pipes and appliances.

High water bill?

Many simple things can contribute to a high water bill, from leaking taps and toilets through to burst underground pipes. We can solve all of these issues and have access to the latest electronic leak detection equipment if required.
