How often should I have my boat services?

You should refer to your owner's manual, particularly while the motor is still under warranty, as servicing schedules can be very strict. If your motor is out of warranty then generally an annual or 100 hour service is adequate, whichever comes first, however for specific questions give us a call.

Do you do water test?

Yes,we have access to private water ways, and are able to test your motor upon request. We also can arrange water tests with your new boat, to teach you how to get the best from all your equipment.

What safety gear do I need in my boat?

Each state is different, and has different laws, however in all states PFD's are required on all vessels, for specific states, refer to government websites, or give us a call.

Can you install my electronics?

Yes, The Marine Shop have qualified staff, trained to install everything from sounders, to electric winches, if it's available for a boat, we can fit it for you.

Can you pick up and drop off my boat?

Yes,The Marine Shop offers a towing service, where we can drop off and pick up your boat, which is great if it is stored on the water, or you simply don't have the time to drop it off to us yourself.

Do you do trailer repairs?

Yes,in most cases The Marine Shop service and repair any damage on your trailer.

Do you sell second hand accessories?

We do have a small range of second hand outboards, and trailers available, however these are constantly changing, so give us a call to see what we have in stock.

Do you do boat license courses?

No, The Marine Shop does not run boat license courses, however if you are interested in obtaining your boat license, we can put you in touch with people that do run the course.

Can you tell me which trailer bearings I need for my boat trailer?

There are different types of bearing, and each trailer is different, so we cannot tell you which ones you need to suit your trailer, however if you bring the old ones in, or you can get a numerical code of the old bearings, we will be able to match them up, to save you time and hassle.

Can you teach me how to use the equipment I buy?

Yes,The Marine Shop's staff are all passionate boating people, and can teach you the right way to use whatever it is you're buying from a sounder, to an entire new boat, and show you how to get the best out of your equipment.
