Can I use a water saving shower head with my Continuous Flow Bosch Hot Water System?

As per above- yes, as long as it is 9 litres per minute.

Why is the installation position so important?

The positioning of the water heater is very important for a couple of reasons; for efficiency you would want the unit closest to the most used outlet as it may affect water flow and lag times. Safety regulations are another aspect that has to be taken into consideration when installing the appliance.

Are Continous Flow Bosch Hot Water System compatible with all taps and shower heads?

They are compatible with most taps but some flick mixer taps have a flow rate that is below the minimum required for operation.

Can I use my Bosch External HydroPower or Bosch Pilot with a Solar Hot Water System?

No, both of these units are mechanical units, which means they do not have the ability to read incoming temperature and regulate themselves. This can lead to overheating of water which is a health and safety concern.

Can I use my Bosch Electronic Highflow model (17e, 21e or 26e) with a Solar Hot Water System?

Yes, you must make sure you current model has "Heat Resistance" enabled. To do this simply locate the model number on the right hand side panel and check to see if the letter "H" is at the end of the model number, for example YS2170RAH. If you do not have a heat resistant model then you will require a Bosch solar transfer valve which can be purchased at your local plumbing and trade store.

Can an internal Bosch Hot Water System be installed under a veranda, as it would be out of the weather?

No, internal water heaters can only be installed internally. External water heaters can only be installed externally. Each water heater model is approved by the Australian Gas Association (AGA) for installation in accordance with Australian Standard AS5601.

Do the Bosch External HydroPower and Internal Compact units come with gas regulators?

Yes, the external models come pre-fitted with both Natural Gas and LP regulators. The Bosch Internal Compact Range have the Natural Gas and LP regulators supplied in the box
