We can provide you colour printing, commercial printing, digital printing, offset printing, letterpress printing & graphic design.
Whilst we are colour printing specialists, "Instant" is still the key word. Nobody wants to wait, so our factory is geared up with the latest in equipment to offer the fastest and best quality turnaround possible. Our 21st century Heidelberg Speedmaster presses are the only ones of their type in the Townsville district. Our services also include photocopying, take away signs & large format prints.
From business cards, colour brochures, presentation folders, docket books, posters, to books and magazines, our experienced artists will consult with you to ensure your print job is what you want, whilst ensuring it is effective and cost-efficient. If you provide the file in an electronic format, they will check it for technical and grammatical problems and fix them for you. We have a modern computer to plate imaging system.
Our pressroom houses only Heidelberg presses, nine of them. The letterpress department produces high-quality blind embossed, foiled and die cut products. It also does those difficult numbering jobs, the modern offset presses cannot handle. In the offset department, modern presses ensure your job, be it a black and white business card or a full colour magazine, is printed to the highest standard. We have three 21st century Heidelberg Speedmaster presses on the floor.
Our modern bindery is where we finish the job. From computer driven guillotines, folders, collators and stitchers, your final product emerges. This department also utilises the most modern machinery and methods, assuring fast, efficient and precise finishing. We'll be pleased to hear from you! Would you say your business is eco-friendly?
Almost all jobs are printed with eco-friendly, soy-based printing inks. Wherever possible, we use recycled papers and because of our modern computer to plate imaging system, we have no silver or film waste, and even the aluminium printing plates from this system are recycled. All paper offcuts and cardboard packaging is recycled.
What can you do with celloglazing?
Celloglazing is a very fine clear plastic laminate, on one or both sides of your print job. It gives a different look and feel to the job. It's not expensive and adds durability whilst also eliminating soiling. Talk to us about our ideas on this.
What can you do with die cut?
Die cutting a presentation folder, business card or brochure will add interest. You can cut in any shape you wish. Let your mind run wild. Talk to us about our ideas on this.
Anything else you can tell me about the business?
The current owners are those who originally set the business up all those years ago - Ron and Carolyn Turner. We are also the proud owners of high-quality digital presses and an Agfa wide format UV printer, suitable for printing onto metals, plastics, and timber substrates up to 40mm thick.
What can you do with foil?
To make your colour brochure something out of the ordinary, why not add a little metallic foil. Foiling can be used as a highlight. You will certainly stand out from the crowd. Talk to us about our ideas on this.
What can you do with varnish?
Varnish that colour brochure or presentation folder. Machine varnish comes in either gloss, satin or matt finishes. It will eliminate finger marking on heavily printed areas and certainly changes the feel of the job. UV (ultraviolet) varnish is a lot more expensive, but it will certainly highlight those photographs. Talk to us about our ideas on this.
Any other information should I know about Townprint?
We are a 100% Townsville family owned, one-stop printing establishment. Everything we sell is produced in our modern Aitkenvale print facility and from here we send printing to satisfied customers right across Australia. We do not outsource.
Can you match prices with other businesses?
We will better any of our opposition's prices on any job we can handle in our factory, but let's be sure we're quoting on a comparable job. Please ask the other printers if they will match our quality.
Is there any other information you can tell me about the printing process?
Yes, of course. Our biggest four colour press has a maximum sheet size of A2. These machines are the only ones of their kind in the Townsville district.
Do you have parking facility?
Yes, we have on-site parking, right at the door.
