What do I put the tank on?
50mm to 75mm crusher dust or sand, levelled and consolidated, - Concrete, - Tank Base supplied by Roy Walker Plumbing up to 800mm high to suit individual tanks.
What is a home sewage treatment system and how does it work?
A home sewage treatment system processes all household wastewater, treating it on-site using biological and mechanical processes before safely discharging or reusing the water.
I have heard mosquitoes breed in tanks?
All our water tanks are mosquito proof. The leaf strainer in the top has a stainless steel mesh fine enough to prevent mosquitoes entering. There is also the same mesh on the overflow.
Do galvanised water tanks corrode?
Galvanised water tanks now have a protective skin on the inside of the tank so the water never comes in contact with the steel, thus allowing the 20 year guarantee.
How long does installation usually take?
Most installations take a few days, including excavation, plumbing, and electrical connections. Timeframes may vary based on site access and council approvals.
How often should a sewage treatment system be serviced?
Most systems require servicing every 3 months to ensure performance and compliance with environmental standards. We’re licensed to service all major brands.
I need to match my tank with my shed?
No problem, polythene water tanks come in a range of colorbond colours.
My tank stand is only 100mm smaller than my tank, is that ok?
No, all water tanks must be fully supported.
I have heard there is a plastic taste in polythene water tanks?
No, there is no plastic taste - the material they are made from is food-grade.
What are the signs that my system needs maintenance?
Slow drains, odours, or pooling water near the tank may indicate an issue. Regular servicing helps avoid costly breakdowns and environmental hazards.
What size treatment system do I need for my property?
System size depends on factors like the number of bedrooms, water usage, and site conditions. We provide personalised advice during our on-site consultation.
What happens when the tank is full?
The overflow supplied with the tank connects to 90mm storm water pipe. Be sure to run the water away from the tank so it doesn't undermine the base of sand, - Tanks can be interconnected, so when the first one is full it overflows into the second.

How about the dust on my roof?
We supply and install first flush diverters which flush the first rain away from the tank and when the roof is rinsed the diverter shuts off and allows the tank to fill.
What are your hours of operation?
We work by appointment. Call us to book an appointment. Our trading hours are: - Monday to Friday - 8 am to 5 pm - Saturday - 8:30 am to 11:30 am.
