What is an Accredited Specialist?

All lawyers are not the same! Andrew Warren has been appointed by the Law Society of New South Wales as an Accredited Specialist in Family Law. This qualification is the highest recognition by the Law Society of NSW of excellence and competence in the field of Family Law. The Specialist Accreditation programme is a rigorous examination of a lawyer's technical knowledge, competence and ability in their chosen field conducted by leading experts within the Law Society of NSW.

What happens at my first appointment?

At your first consultation we make sure that we understand what your needs are, what you want to achieve, and that we provide you the advice you need. We set aside ample time to be able to give you a clear idea of what your options are, how much they are likely to cost, and how long it might take. At the end of the consultation you'll know where you stand. Your first consultation is charged at a reduced fixed fee. Call us on 6492 4199 for an appointment.

How can I afford legal fees?

For years, Andrew Warren has provided a variety of flexible fee arrangements. Come in and talk to us about how we can help you. Arrangements can often be tailored to include payment at the end of your matter. We always set out our costs and fee arrangements in writing for you at the beginning of your matter so that you know exactly what they are.

Why do I need to see an Accredited Specialist?

The difference between an Accredited Specialist and a normal solicitor is a bit like the difference between a medical specialist and a GP. Just as a patient with a serious illness will almost always see a medical specialist, a client with a Family Law problem is well advised to see an Accredited Specialist to be sure they are getting the right advice.

What's the difference between an Accredited Specialist and a normal solicitor?

The process of being admitted to practise as a solicitor is very different to other professions. Once a solicitor qualifies to practise law after university, they can practise in any area they want, even in areas where they may have no experience or training. By engaging an Accredited Specialist, you know that your lawyer has been recognised by the Law Society to be an expert in their field. Choosing an Accredited Specialist means a guarantee that your lawyer knows what they are doing.

How much will it cost?

We offer a reduced, fixed fee for our initial consultations. By the end of your first appointment, we will be able to tell you how much your matter is likely to cost and we will put it in writing!
