Approaching Life's Gifts And Challenges With Awareness And Calm
- Individual Needs in The Context of Relationships
- Inner Voice Work
- General Info
Becoming aware of your self, the way your mind and body works, to have fulfilling relationships, well-being and reach life goals.
Find clarity and inner peace with Awareness And Calm, a dedicated counselling psychologist in Bella Vista. Specialising in relationships and understanding of self while managing thoughts and emotions, the practice provides a supportive environment to navigate life's gifts and challenges. Awareness and Calm has an approach that works with the inner voice, the patterns in thinking, processing emotion and observing patterns in relationships to understand them more deeply. The goal is to work to become more centred, thoughtful and connected to your principles to create an emotionally rich, fulfilling and meaningful life. It is about developing a practice of approaching life's gifts and challenges with awareness and calm.
Facing the current challenges in life with awareness from a point of calm will give you the confidence and skills to face other future challenges. The models of therapy I work with involve getting to know what is really happening. The aim is to use this awareness to change the patterns and develop new skills. Being aware of your own reactivity, balancing your internal and external world, understanding your relationships and getting clear on your purpose is the ultimate goal.
Anyone with a commitment to change is suitable for this. My work is driven by philosophy and theory. Anxiety, depression and anger are all signs of fear. All these emotions are underneath common challenges in relationships, stress, eating disorders, addictions, trauma, abuse, infertility, work issues, etc. You walk in with the expertise on your life; I have the curiosity and questions. We look at your life together and strengthen the new story for your new approach to life.
Success in therapy is dependent on many things; like practise between sessions, observing with new awareness and the commitment to try new things. Ultimately, it is about using this new awareness to create a stronger sense of self in your life, where you own your reactivity, and you feel the power and have the capacity to choose your responses, making your own decisions. Small and large changes make a difference. Sometimes no change is required at all; we just need to think differently.

What happens in the sessions?
In the sessions, we will look at the challenges you're experiencing and strengths you already have to help you. We will look for patterns in the way your mind works, the way your body reacts and patterns in your relationships. The goal is to be able to observe, gain awareness, ground yourself enough to rise up into more helpful ways of thinking leading to principled action. Awareness and Calm.
