- General Info
We aim to have your piano tuned on an annual basis.
We are the piano tuner that offers a professional pianist's perspective on your piano's needs. We offer a friendly and reliable service.
We offer piano tuning and repair service in Geelong and the outlying districts including the Bellarine Peninsula, Surf Coast Shire, Colac/Otway Shire, Lara and other regional towns. Services include tuning and onsite repairs, more extensive workshop repairs, piano regulating, pitch raising in flat pianos to concert pitch, soundboard cleaning of grands, relocating pianos in the home or venue, evaluations and advice.
If you find that your piano is well below concert (standard) pitch, it can be successfully raised to the correct pitch in a single tuning session; without any harm to the piano.
After tuning, many pianos that are a semitone flat, we have developed a successful pitch raising process that will restore your piano back to being a useful instrument.

Where do I position my piano in the room?
Ideally, on an internal wall, where there will be less temperature fluctuations. New homes are well insulated on the outside walls so therefore may be suitable for the piano. Avoid having your piano sitting in the direct hot sun or next to an air conditioning duct.
How often should a piano be tuned?
If a piano is very flat, it may need a couple of initial tunings then another a few months later. If a piano is played heavily, it could probably be tuned a few times a year to keep it sounding good. A piano that is used for concerts or recitals should be tuned as required. A new piano may require 3 or 4 tunings in the first year until it starts to hold pitch consistently.
How much does it cost to tune a piano?
Piano tuning starts from $120. Extra is charged for travel outside of Geelong and if the piano is flat enough to require more tuning. Any repairs that need to be carried out are charged at an hourly rate.
