Berry Taxi Service

Booked and prepaid to be picked up after a wedding at jaspers wedding venue. After calling to see where they were they lied and said they couldn’t find us and took another fare. We called 5 minutes after the agreed pick up time, not once did they try to call to see where we were. Dodgy business would not recommend.

Called to try and get a cab after an event in Berry, phone was answered with a gruff Hello no company name of who I'd called until I asked if I had called the taxi service. Asked if there was any chance of getting a taxi and I was met with a laugh and "Good Luck". Needless to say my response is unable to be posted here before I hung up. Thankfully we were able to arrange an uber and not shocked to hear this wasn't the first time he had heard negative reviews of this service. Judging by the other reviews here, I'm glad he was rude and we didn't get into the car with him. It's unfortunate there are no other services in the area as having competition may cause a change in the arrogance of a man who clearly doesn't care about his business or customer service

Looks like they charge a flat rate between wineries which was $50 for a $5 min trip. He did turn the meter on for the trip back to our rental but we almost got rear ended when they didn't slow down to turn off the road. We didn't feel safe with their driving. If you can get an Uber, do that instead.

Tried to charge us $60 for a 4 minute ride, no meter running

My friends and I were unfortunate to order this taxi on our recent visit to the area. The driver did not put on the meter and drove recklessly to our hotel, speeding and not slowing at roundabouts. Our journey was 3min according to google maps and the driver was cheeky enough to try charge 40 dollars, when I questioned the fare he got very aggressive and shouted at us that no there was no negotiating, we were all gobsmacked and frightened in the taxi. So instead he shouted ‘right you’re going back!’ and drove back again flying down the road back, even faster than the way back, only to drop us off half way back on the side of the road and continued to shout at us as we quickly scurried out. We are four young girls who are not from the area and felt we were being taken advantage of with the fare, we were left very shook after the ordeal. Please do yourself a favour and do not order a taxi from Berry cabs!

We were four girls on a weekend away and booked this taxi driver to drive us from our restaurant back to our hotel. It was a 3 minute drive to our hotel. He hid the metre, and charged us $40 for the fare. When we disputed this, he locked the doors of

the taxi and drove us back to the pick up location driving at an

extreme speed. He was agressive, terrifying and took control of four young girls in a taxi late at night. Then leaving us on the side of the road and screaming at us not allowing us to negotiate the scam rate he was charging us. He was driving way over the speed limit and had us all feeling very unsafe and frightened. Have reported him to the police. DO NOT BOOK THIS SERVICE.

Had to wait 20-30 mins to get picked up on foxground after our car broke down but that was expected as it's out of the way. The phone operator gave us a very accurate time and cost estimate. Taxi driver was friendly and charged 30 from foxground to Berry which seemed very reasonable. Would use again.

Absolutely furious at the service I received.

Waited hours to be collected from Meroo Meadow and then charged $215 to get to Kiama. The driver was rude and as a female traveller on my own I was absolutely taken advantaged of. I will make sure I tell all my local friends and contacts in the events industry (south coast venues) to never use this service in the future.

Picked up from jaspers brush started driving before doors were closed and last passenger almost fell out advised him needed to wait till we are seated with belts on and said nothing, then 1 minute or so into our drive turned the metre reading off and 4 minute drive to meroo meadow charged me $40 what on earth is that about and why turn off the metre reading wow should have caught an uber this man then it’s completely shady and a major rip off a major opportunist. Became aggressive we paid and left. Never ever again do not trust this man.
