How do I apply for a loan?

What does it cost to your service?

In most cases there is no fee for our service, except where there are considerable travel and time involved like visits on the farm. We will advise any of these costs before meeting or starting any work.

What are your charges?

In most cases, we are paid by the financier. It is rare for you to pay anything directly to Esdale Sinclair & Associates. A small number of banks and finance houses do not pay fees to brokers. In those cases, if we believe the appropriate loan for our client is produced by one of these, we will advise you of our fees and these will be payable by you at settlement.

I have tried to get a loan on my own and been knocked back. Can you help me?

In the majority of cases - Yes! Most rejections from financiers are due to lack of information provided by the applicant, or the information is not presented in the best light. Due to our years of experience in the finance industry, and our knowledge of different financier's assessment procedures, we are able to ensure that all pertinent and necessary information is positively and ethically presented to the financier, thus maximising the chance of getting your finance approved.

How long does it take to get finance approved?

In the majority of cases for equipment finance, once we have all the information we require to complete the application (i.e. financial information, full details of equipment being purchased, etc.) we'll have an approval within 24 to 48 hours. Home loan and mortgage loan applications usually take around five working days.

Should I do all my borrowing through you?

Quite naturally, we would say yes, but for some very good reasons. Firstly, freedom of choice enables us to place your borrowings with a competitive lender with a suitable product. We take the time to understand our client's business and endeavour to develop a trustworthy long-term relationship. We are from the local area, which enables us to understand seasonal and local changes.

What is best for my tax?

We are not qualified to give advice on taxation matters. However, we are experienced and have knowledge in structuring loans that may be tax effective. We often talk directly with client’s accountants to determine the product and structure that is most advantageous to you.

Do you just use the banks or other lenders as well?

We use all major banks as well as credit unions, building societies and other equipment or livestock finance specialists.

Will I always get the cheapest interest rate by using a broker?

Whilst we can't guarantee this, we will provide a highly competitive quote that may not have additional ongoing fees or charges, or lesser fees and charges. In addition, we pride ourselves on offering the right product for the right purchase and providing fast and efficient service.

I want to start looking for a house but don’t want to waste time looking at the property, I couldn’t get a loan for the same, and do you do pre-approvals?
