Property damaged in the move because of carelessness. Gorman's not willing to accept responsibility for the damage despite their mover's negligence being the direct cause.

missing hundreds of dollars worth of my personal valuables. No comp as I didn't get the insurance. The delivery men were polite and diligent.

Gormans moved me from Roma in early January. The two guys that did my move were fantastic. Would defs move with them again.

I had a very disappointing experience with Gormans Removals.

The office staff were brilliant and their customer service was excellent. However the crew we had packing up our goods were very unprofessional.

The crew were smoking in and near the container which contained our furniture. They had to be told twice by management after phone calls to the depot to stop doing it. No apologies from the crew, only from office staff. After this incident they were really annoyed and it showed in their behaviour.

They also left soft drink cans and cigarette butts on our property. They were rude, spat on the ground and had a very unfriendly, bad attitude. They also bashed my furniture into a wall, leaving a dent - no apology at all.

The crew unpacking our goods were better but still smoked near our furniture. I find this incredibly disrespectful. I feel that the company should have paid for steam cleaning my couches and other furniture that had smoke all through it.

I would never use them again. It took a whole week for our furniture to arrive which seems excessive.

My boyfriend and I used this company to move from Rockhampton to the Sunny Coast. Could not fault them !!! The guys that come out and picked up our stuff (Scotty and Anthony) were so helpful and made the whole moving experience fun. You could tell that they were genuinely happy to work there. I was so worried about our slate pooltable but when it came time to put that in the truck one phonecall and guy from the office come out (Dale,, turns out he was the boss !!) and they had it pulled down and on the truck in 20 minutes !!! No dramas !!! He even bought out some cold water for me and the guys becuase it was about 39 degrees !!! Delivery at the coast went just as smooth (even with a house on the side of a hill)

Really great people to deal with from start to finish and you can tell that it comes from the top down. Thanks again guys!!

Been lucky enough to have Gormans assigned to me by my employer (Queensland Government) for the last 4 moves. One of the moves involved a real b*****d of a house on a hill !!! Nothing has ever been to much trouble for the guys. Will be moving again in about 6 months so fingers crossed I get these people again.

Gormans were assigned as our removalists by my employer. Moving over Christmas is stressful at the best of times but moving with an autistic child and another recently released from an extended stay in hospital with a serious illness really kicks it up a notch. Throw in a gastro bug for good measure and you have the worst move I've ever had. Although we'd made a start, we were considerably less prepared than in previous moves. The packing team were judgemental and made me feel very self conscious with the progression of our packing, despite me explaining things and still obviously quite unwell. The finance dept managed to save telling me of the exorbitant excess fees until 4pm 23rd December so I was unable to seek assistance over the Xmas period. When we discovered that the packing team had tipped the contents of my son's aquarium down the drain so they could pack it, after he clearly told them not to touch it, the office staff were quite dismissive of the emotional impact of losing pets at this stressful time and became abusive over the phone, offering no consolation or compensation. The packing team broke a light bulb and while I don't expect them to clean my house, picking the broken glass up off the floor would have been appreciated, as would taking some care and attention with the packing of boxes beyond simply upending drawers indiscriminately into cartons. So little care and attention was paid that in fact they packed their own job book requiring the unpacking of no less than 3 cartons to locate it. The most stressful experience of my life. Our last three moves were due to flooding and with this one costing my son his pets, it has cemented the understanding for my special needs child that moving, no matter what the circumstances and who you speak to, moving is a devastating and traumatising experience. Gormans claim to be friendly, helpful, respectful and family oriented, but that is far from my experience. Think twice before engaging these over-priced thugs.
