      We supply timber and metal staircases and rails together with glass, timber and metal balustrading.

      Our aim is to provide professional service, expert advice and stunning staircases that are built to last. We only use quality materials and highly skilled local tradesmen so you can be confident that the manufacture and installation of your custom-built staircase are of the highest quality.

      Whatever type of stair design you have in mind, South Coast Stairs is guaranteed to have something to wow you. We offer both open rise and closed rise stairs, as well as straight, curved and spiral designs. There are also a range of timbers to choose from including pine, maple and a selection of Australian hardwoods. For external stairs, you can choose from kiln dried hardwood or treated pine. Do you need safe, permanent access into your roof? South Coast Stairs stock a range of loft ladders available in timber or aluminium.

      How often should I maintain the finish on my stairs?

      Depending on how they are treated and the use of stairs, we recommend 6-12 months for external and 5-7 years for internal stairs.


      When should I be ordering my stairs?

      Once the second-story frames go up, you should be ordering your stairs.

      Unfortunately, we do not.

      Unfortunately, we don’t. However, we do offer advice for products to be used for each type of surface and to provide non-slip qualities.


      What is the lead time for a project?

      Usually, our lead time is between 8-14 weeks from the time your order is placed.
