Preventive Dentistry has been providing Canberra with comprehensive dental care for over 50 years. We are fully committed to delivering high-quality dentistry of exacting standards, whilst ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients is a top priority.

What are your opening hours?
Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm Saturday: 8:30am – 1:30pm, most alternate Saturdays. *Phone calls are not taken on Saturdays, messages can be left on our answering machine.
Where are you located?
Preventive Dentistry is situated on Level 1 of the Habitat building at the corner of Mort and Elouera Streets in Braddon, Canberra. Entrance to the building is on the Elouera Street side, between Bentspoke and Blackfire restaurant. Ample car parking is available across the road in the pay parking bays on Mort Street. Bus services are available along Mort Street, and we are conveniently located within walking distance of Canberra City.
What's your cancellation policy?
We respectfully ask that you provide us with at least 24 hours notice for cancelling or rescheduling of appointments. This is so that we can offer the appointment time to other patients. Appointments that are missed, cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice may incur a fee.
Do you offer emergency dental treatment?
Yes. Emergency dental treatment for the purposes of alleviating discomfort and stabilising a condition is available to all existing patients. Emergency treatment outside of opening hours is at the discretion of our dentists and may incur an after-hours loading charge.

I reviewed Preventative Dentistry and Dr Scott Park years ago and have now been seeing him for 13 years. He has never made a mistake or done less than top class work. His care and communication while working is outstanding. Recent work for me on two teeth was done without pain deadening and the result was excellent. There was no significant pain and the tooth work is holding up brilliantly. Canberra is lucky to have Scott and Preventive Dentistry.

Scott has been my dentist for over 10 years and I wish to record my appreciation for his Scott has been my dentist for over 10 years and I highly value his professional care and the meticulous way he goes about his work. He recently (5 May 2025) performed a very difficult procedure to save on one of my very back teeth that involved him devising a new approach. It was a great success.

I was referred to Dr. Scott Park by my sleep doctor. Dr. Scott was very friendly and easy to communicate. I was not sure and no idea of a mandibular advancement split. He took time and his personal experience to explain it to me. Then I was quite encouraged to go for it. Now I'm so happy with my sleep and feel excellent in day time. Thank you Dr. Scott and would like to recommend him for his excellent service and knowledge.
