What is Bridgestone Manufacturer Warranty?
At Bridgestone Select we offer our customers peace of mind through various warranty solutions. In the event of damage, all Bridgestone tyres purchased in Australia from an authorised Bridgestone dealer can be assessed under our manufacturer warranty. Assessments are completed by a trained professional from our technical team. Where we are unable to have a technician assess a customer’s tyres in store, a customer’s tyres will need to be surrendered if they wish to proceed with the claim.
What is Bridgestone Road Hazard Warranty?
Customers who purchase two or more Bridgestone or Firestone passenger tyres from a Bridgestone Select, Bridgestone Service Centre or a Bridgestone Tyre Centre are eligible for the Bridgestone Road Hazard Warranty. This warranty guarantees that a tyre with an irreparable puncture caused by gutter damage, potholes or damaged roads, breaks or cuts from foreign objects on the road will be replaced free of charge if worn under 10%.
Why choose Bridgestone Select for my next logbook service?
Here are just some of the great reasons your car is in safe hands with us: Stores Australia-wide; Transparent pricing and quoting; Manufacturer standard processes and procedures; Convenient opening hours, including Saturday; Service to the vehicle’s manufacturer requirements; Service log book validation; Only genuine or equivalent parts, oils and lubricants used; Fully qualified mechanics at all Auto Service stores.
How much air should I put in my tyres? Why should I consider nitrogen inflation?
It is recommended that tyres be inflated to the pressure shown on the Vehicle Tyre Placard located in your car. The tyre placard will show the minimum inflation pressure recommended for city and/or highway (or heavily loaded) use. The use of nitrogen inflation has the potential to provide better tyre performance (reduced pressure loss and extended tyre-life). Nitrogen inflation can be used on any air filled tyre. The suitability of Nitrogen inflation is best discussed with your Tyre Dealer.
What is run flat technology?
Run-flat tyres are designed to be capable of operating at lower speed and for a limited distance without air, in the case of a puncture. If a puncture occurs, run flat tyres allow you to keep driving for a limited amount of time. In normal operation RFT tyres still require inflation to the pressure shown on the vehicle tyre placard. Not all vehicles can be fitted with Run Flat Tyres.
What is Bridgestone Wear Life Guarantee?
The Bridgestone Wear Life Guarantee is available to customers who purchase four or more Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus tyres and have a wheel alignment in the same transaction. This warranty provides assurance for customers up to 50,000 km. Where a claim is being made with tyres under 50,000 km, a pro-rata credit will be applied. Good general vehicle and tyre maintenance will be taken into consideration when Bridgestone Select assess a warranty claim.
What is the Uniform Tyre Quality Grade (UTQG) standard?
The UTQG is a global standard that helps customers compare tyre performance in terms of tread, traction and temperature. Every tyre manufacturer is required to independently test and brand these ratings on tyres released to the market. While the standards are a good indicator, it is important to keep in mind that tyre performance will vary depending on road conditions and use.
How can I find my nearest Bridgestone Select store?
The quickest way to find a local store is to call us on 13 12 29 or to use the nearest store finder on our website.
What is rolling resistance in a tyre?
The rolling resistance of a tyre is the power needed to roll that tyre along the road. A ‘Low Rolling Resistance’ tyre will require less power to roll along the road, so has the potential to provide better fuel-economy for your car.
What size tyre should I get for my car? How can I extend the wear life of my tyres?
The tyres on your car are best replaced with the size nominated on the vehicle tyre placard. Changing the tyre size away from the vehicle manufacturer’s standard size could make that vehicle un-roadworthy, which in turn could render it ‘un-insured’. Tyre life can be maximised by correct and regular tyre and vehicle maintenance (correct Tyre Pressure, Regular Tyre Rotation and Regular Wheel-Alignment).
How long will my tyres last?
There are three primary factors that impact on tyre life, type of tyre, driving conditions, driving style and level of tyre maintenance. We recommend a good level of tyre maintenance on all tyres to include tyre pressure checks, regular tyre rotations and vehicle wheel-alignments. Correct maintenance will always allow your tyres to last as long as possible.
How often should I change my tyres?
Tyres must be replaced when the tyre tread wears level with the Tread-wear Indicators (TWI’s) which are positioned in the main tyre tread grooves of all road-going tyres. The tread-wear indicator is designed to appear when 1.5mm of tread is remaining. If a tyre is known to be older than 6 years (from date of manufacture) it should be checked by a tyre professional for signs of age degradation. Your tyre dealer will be able to tell the age of a tyre from the serial number on the sidewall.

My requested work was a simple check as to why only my fuel gauge read 3/4 when full.
The policy is customers are consulted as in explained what work is required and asking for permission. Put my car in early in morning next day I rang to be told more than my request was done, also the repair that was done was not possible to be done correctly by any repair as specified by the car manufacturer.
It was claimed that calibration was done to my car's fuel level sender. However these units are not designed to be adjustable they are calibrated for the life of the unit, at time of manufacture. Only specifications from the manufacturer to check it is passed basic settings are published in manufacturers factory repair manual.
If unit is not as specified it must be replaced, prior to install before I took car to be checked again it was tested and met specifications.
Nonetheless I was charged for having the float arm bent which was reason it was replaced previously with the current unit. I found the guage read as far the needle could go over the full mark the lower portion of the needle was that was visible. Immediately returned my car the response was it was within manufacturers specifications. I had a spare gauge removed from a cluster and showed them the markings on it indicating the full range with small dots and another for reference.
Showed them that what my car was reading was as far the needle could go physically within its housing. However they worked on it again, indicated verbally they ran the fuel tank dry a few times. The fuel pumps are not supposed ever to not be pumping air or fuel with air, as the fuel is required to keep it cool and stop it from getting damaged. To get my car back I paid more than the first time.
There was a poor connection an Auto Electrician detected that made my car unable to pump fuel if parked on a slope. A replacement sender, the priming and high pressure pumps were replaced elsewhere to make my car reliable once fuel pumps are run dry especially more than once failure is likely to occur very soon. So I spent a ridiculous amount of money for work I had not requested plus cost of repairing it the replacement unit read the same as the one which was changed then read incorrectly.
It was money spent and no answer as to the cause of the incorrect reading. Nothing I paid for here was required nor authorised by me not as advertised for this store.
Very unhappy to spend so much money, and more to rectify my car to be reliable after the work was carried out here. It was claimed to have been repaired correctly and I had no choice, but to pay another place to make my car reliable. Ensure the gauge read more accurately as it was prior the work done.

I had a nail stuck one of my car tire. I used spare wheel and gave the punctured one to fix here. Once I got it back next day, I kept it in spare wheel place and didn't replace it for next 4 weeks. When I was changing it back, I noticed that the nail is still there !!!!!! I double checked and couldn't find any sign of fixing any puncture hole. I don't know why I paid $30 for not fixing the puncture. I took it to another place to check it out and got it fixed. I couldn't go back to Bridgestone Select, as I lost the invoice as I didn't bother to keep it trusting their work also it was a month ago. I never imagined I would be cheated like this.
So please avoid this place if you don't want to get scammed.

I took my 2011 hilux in for a 200,000km service and left it with them for the entire day. About 3 hrs after dropping the vehcile off Dan rang me to inform me of the required work needing to be done. I was told the vehcile needed front and rear diff oil changed, brake fluid, Air filter, New brake disc on the front and new brake pads. I then ask what the condition on the diff oil was and was told they didn't know as it hadn't been check but it was in the log book to replace it. I then asked for the measurements of the brake discs and pads and was told they would need to check and get back to me. I then Told them that they had changed the brake fluid and air filter last service and was told that it needed to be done because it was in the logbook. This didn't seem right so i declined the work and went and picked up my car. When i got there i checked the logbook and it had not been filled out. I ask about this and they said because i didn't have the work mentioned in the logbook done they would not sign it. I took my car to another service centre and they check over the vehcile after explaining the situation and was told the brakes would last another 12 months before needing to be changed, the brake fluid and air filter were almost brand new and that the diff oil was in perfect condition. To top it all off they told me that my brake lights were not working, something not even mentioned by B Select Strathpine. DON'T RISK IT USE A COMPETENT MECHANICAL SERVICE CENTRE
