Dynamic pile testing for capacity, integrity and hammer performance, integrity testing (sonic and cross-hole), driveability
Jon Cannon started this geotechnical consulting business in 1995 after managing the service for a large consultant for 10 years. We specialise in high strain and low strain dynamic testing of piles and concrete. We also offer services in wave equation prediction of pile driveability and pile design. We use equipment from Pile Dynamics Inc including PDA/CAPWAP, PIT, CHAMP and the ACT.
Our high strain PDA's can be used with the operator on site or remotely operated over the phone or internet to increase convenience to users and reduce mobilisation costs. We can offer classic sonic integrity testing using PIT or cross-hole testing using the CHAMP system. The new ACT can be used to check concrete thickness of tunnel linings and pavements and the walls of "super T" beams.

FAQs
When can we get a report?
Typically 2-3days but can be sooner if it is required urgently.
How soon can we get some testing?
Typically we can be there the same day. We are based in Melbourne. Last week we were asked at 9AM to test several hours drive out of Adelaide. The operator was able to be on site by 3PM to help work proceed on schedule. Several years ago were were asked to go to Pt Hedland at 4PM. We were on site at 9AM next morning. Likewise remote PDA equipment can be sent the same day but then delivery is subject to courier performance.
Are you cost competitive?
We have more experience than any other testers in Australia but we still remain cost competive with testers having less experience and less knowledge.
