I own CampersOZ, a 4WD and Camping Gear Hire business in Cairns.

I started using A1 Mechanical in 2014 to look after the fleet of 4WD vehicles that make up our rental fleet.

Our vehicles, and my own personal 4WD, are looked after by A1 Mechanical and very regularly. Our vehicles undertake Cape York on a very regular basis and they have to be serviced every 5000 - 6000 kilometres. Often they need attention quickly and this is never a problem. The owner/manager has an uncanny knack for diagnosing problems, which is another reason I only use A1 Mechanical.

I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

I have absolutely no concerns about recommending A1 Mechanical to anyone. To confirm this I have A1 Mechanical as one of the businesses on my Trusted Links webpage.

Wouldnt go back.

The reception lady was rude to me while making my initial queries via phone, straight out doesnt know how to provide service. When I dropped my car off both the reception lady and the mechanic were rude, both treating me like I was 5 years old. Then when I picked up my car later that day, again I was faced with rude and impolite employees. The mechanic then thought hed try his luck and attempt to trick me into thinking I needed to replace a crucial component of my cars air conditioning. He said it could fail either tomorrow, or in 20 years. He just wanted to make the extra $200. I should have taken my car elsewhere, pity it was dead centre of summer and they were the only business that could look at my car same day. I now understand why they were the only ones free.
