Johnston Joinery has been providing quality timber joinery to North Queensland since 1982. Our mission statement at that time was to achieve the highest level of quality and service and also to provide absolute peace of mind to all of our clients. Thirty-two years later, these principles still apply. Johnston Joinery custom-designs and manufactures quality staircases, doors, windows and louvres, using the best timbers available
We use only seasoned timbers for all of our products and employ the most experienced staff in our timber joinery. The options are almost endless when it comes to selecting a species of timber to use, even Rosewood or Kwila will provide a unique look and feel to any piece of Joinery manufactured by us. Single or double front entry doors, even pivot doors that are combined with the use of glass, add even a more unique impression.

Do these doors come with a warranty?
Absolutely, in fact, our 2/10 warranty is the best of any iron door manufacturer. You get a limited 10-year warranty on parts and 2-year warranty on the finish.
How long does it take to get my door made?
If you order one of our doors that are in inventory we can install in a matter of days. It will take approximately 10-14 weeks.
What if I want balustrading or gates to match my door?
No problem at all. Johnston Joinery will work with you for all these requirements to offer a total package for your project.
Are the doors heavy and hard to open?
No, because of our special ball-bearing hinges these doors are easy to open and close.
I heard iron doors sometimes rust, do yours?
Other door companies apply primer hoping to prevent rust. Johnston Joinery doors first use pure zinc galvanising before our catalytic primer is applied making our doors the most rust-resistant iron doors available! Our limited warranty backs up our commitment to quality, 2 years on the finish and a 10-year warranty on the operation - twice the industry standard!
How do I clean the glass?
Our glass panels swing open. Swinging the panels open provides complete access to both sides of the glass for cleaning. It also means you can open the glass panels anytime for ventilation or conversation without ever unlocking your secure door.

What shape doors can you make and what iron patterns are available?
We have 13 different stock doors in various widths/heights and patterns, or we can custom design a door just for you. We can make anything rectangles, segments, full radius, elliptical, etc. The iron patterns can also be made to your specifications. You are only limited by your imagination.
Can I put one of your doors in my existing home?
Yes, our doors can be made to order. We can make our doors to the exact dimension of your existing door opening.

Do you provide door handles and locks?
Yes, we offer a wide selection of magnificent iron door handles in varying styles. All of them fit our doors perfectly and are included in the price of your door.
