FAQschevron down

Do I need a referral to see you for an eye test?

No, no referrals are needed to see an Optometrist.

So what does a behavioural optometrist do that is different?

The goals of a behavioural optometrist are to: prevent vision problems and eye problems from developing to provide exercises to rehabilitate vision problems that have already developed (such as eye turn) to develop and enhance visual skills needed for efficient performance in daily situations such as the classroom, using a computer, or on the sporting field.

Do you bulk bill eye tests through Medicare?

The majority of examinations are bulk billed to Medicare by us. Exceptions to this include some contact lens consultations, specialist Perceptual Assessment and Visual Training tests for children which may be partially paid for by Medicare and finally the small fees involved with digital imaging procedures.
