Eatons A1 Driving School was established in 2002 and is a team of professional fully accredited female & male driving instructors.
We teach you the skills to drive defensively and safely for life; not just to pass your test. Lessons are structured and conducted in late model dual controlled automatic or manual vehicles. We cater for the extremely nervous beginner to the more experienced learner driver.
Established in 2002 by Tony & Felicity Sorrenson, Eatons A1 Driving School has been servicing Brisbane & the wider community 7 days a week. Well Respected within the driving industry & amongst our Industry Partners Queensland Transport, our instructors conduct themselves in a professional manner with our main priority being to teach young drivers to be safe, courteous, considerate & road aware out there on our forever busy roads. FAQs
Can you book my practical driving test before my logbook is posted away or approved?
Yes as long as you can tell us the day you will be posting your logbook we can work out the soonest possible time we can book the test for you. To submit the logbook at the post office you must have completed a minimum of 100hrs. We will need your learners licence number as well as credit card details to pay main roads the $54.30 test booking fee so the test can be booked in.
Do you offer Packages for a discounted price?
Yes, we offer a 5hr package, 10hr package, half day or full day packages. The package conditions are that you book ahead for a minimum of one lesson a week & pay for the package up front the hours will count as triple time 3hrs = 1hr up to a maximum of 10hrs, then lessons are 1hr = 1hr.
If I only have auto cars at home to practice in can I still do a manual test?
Yes, we suggest if you only have access to auto cars initially you should do the majority of your logbook hours in auto, when you get to about 70-80hrs. then start doing manual lessons , as long as you do lessons at least once a week for maybe 6-8 weeks ( everyone is different it could be less or more lessons ) you will retain the manual skills to pass a manual test. Unless your circumstances change and you have access to a manual vehicle beforehand then you could start lessons earlier.
