FAQschevron down

How often should I change the oil in my four-stroke mower, and what oil should I use?

Australia, with our extremely dusty conditions, we recommend changing the engine oil every 20 hours of use or once a year for the average user. Please use the oil recommended by the manufacturer as this will ensure the maximum engine life possible. Air filter maintenance is critical too, so check your air filter several times a year.

Why shouldn't I use petrol containing ethanol e.g. E10?

Ethanol is alcohol blended into petrol at various percentages. This fuel can damage fuel system parts and also lead to engine damage from the lower octane rating. The lower octane makes for hard starting, overheating and poor performance. Warranties could be voided if ethanol is proven to be the cause. No doubt, in the future, small engines will be engineered to run on ethanol-blended fuels.

I can buy this cheaper elsewhere. Why can't you beat it?

Price isn't always the issue in a purchase. Good service and knowledge are worth that little extra.

Why should I spend more money buying a popular brand product, when I can buy something in a box at a bulk store?

The old saying still applies, "The sweetness of a cheap price is long forgotten, while the bitter taste of poor quality remains." We only sell premium quality brands, fully assembled and tested so you can rely on your machine to last.

What two strokes fuel mix should I use?

We recommend using a good-quality brand of two-stroke oil and normal unleaded petrol at 50 to 1 mix (100 ml of oil to 5 Ltr of petrol).
