FAQs
Do I have to take the computer to Affordable Computer Repairs & Service?
No, we have a mobile service and can come to you, your home or your office if you are within our mobile service area. We do not charge a call-out fee, nor do we charge for the time taken to get to and from your home/office from our workshop in Coorparoo.
How much does it cost to find out what is wrong with my computer?
We charge $75 to diagnose the problem with your machine – you are not charged this fee if you decide to go ahead with the repair job.
How much will it cost to get my computer fixed?
We charge an affordable hourly repair fee of $150. We charge this hourly rate whether it is for Mac repairs or Windows-based computer. Parts, if needed, are extra. We do not charge additional rates for after-hours or weekend jobs. We never charge customers over three hours of labour for jobs undertaken in our workshop, no matter how long the repair takes. Most PC, Laptop or Mac repairs take between one to two hours.
Is it worth getting my computer fixed, should I just buy a new one?
With the cost of new PCs and Laptops now so affordable we understand your dilemma. For this reason, we offer a diagnostic service ($75 ) after which we will tell you what is wrong with your machine and how much it is going to cost to repair. We only charge this fee if you decide not to proceed with the repair of your computer – and we do ask you to bring your machine to our workshop in Coorparoo for this service.
Can I bring my computer to Affordable Computer Repairs & Service? Where is your workshop?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your troublesome computer into us, 6 days a week, 8am to 6pm.

I was slipped and laptop crashed on the floor and wont open they're the ones who fixed it I thought it was all useless but recovered them and happy.

When a surge from a lightning strike ripped through my laptop, wifi and printer, I lost everything. I'm glad I came across Mark's business when my poor laptop died. Fast, friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable, he stuck to an extremely low rate despite the job ending up much lengthier and gnarlier than first expected. What a lifesaver - or rather, a data saver. Thanks!

Mark was friendly, helpful, and a clear communicator, both on the phone and in person. He was upfront about possible problems and complications. Recovering the data from my almost-dead laptop was done efficiently and at a very reasonable price. Great to deal with in every way. This business will definitely be my first stop for any future computer problems I encounter.

I thoroughly recommend Mark for fast, efficient and affordable repair for your PC. I've had a few 'IT' problems and Mark has been extremely helpful in getting me back online quickly and at a good price. I would not ever go anywhere else to get my PC problems sorted.

I wish to quickly state that 'Affordable Computer Repairs' were very professional, quick and skill full in the repair of my hard drive. I dropped the device off around lunch time and by early the next morning I received a call to say that my hard drive was ready to be picked up.
