The Bump Shop

The Bump Shop is one of those places that is so extraordinary, that I wish reviews had an extra sixth star that could somehow only be awarded to the most exceptional businesses. If they were a restaurant they'd have Chef's Hats and Michilin Stars. I am a very fussy owner of a 2005 NC Launch Edition MX5 that is precious to me, and is in exceptional condition and which I have invested in way more than its market value. Both Paul the owner and Les the Foreman looked after my car like it was theirs, and took satisfying a discerning owner as a challenge, and went the extra mile plus some. While it was in I asked if they could do some extra work beyond the insurance work for the roo hit, and they did an exceptional job. they even identified some tiny dints I didnt even know I had. My paint is Velocity Red, a beautiful and complex deep red with gold mica chips, and their work was exceptional. The cost for my extra tidy up work for the additional minor blemishes on the car that only I knew about, and Les for the ones I didnt, was very reasonable. If you are a true car enthusiast, with a car that is precious to you, you could not do better than The Bump Shop.

I contacted The Bump Shop for a quote on a small repair. Stuart fixed the problem on the spot at no charge. I thought that this quality of service was a thing of the past. Car repairs? The Bump Shop is the only choice.

I recently sustained damage due to someone sideswiping my vehicle. I take a lot of care of my vehicle and although its 9 years old it looks as though it has just left the showroom floor. Anyway, I sustained damage to the front passenger side guard, 22" Alloy wheel and bumper. I went to the Bump Shop on the recommendation of the Land Rover Dealer in Fortitude Valley Brisbane. They repair all the high end cars. I decided to have the bonnet resprayed as it had a couple of stone chips that detracted from its pristine look. The Wheels that I have are Redbourne Baron and are made specifically for Range Rovers by this company and were imported from Canada. They had been colour coded to the vehicle and the outer rim was left with the highly chromed outer. Anyway when the guy sideswiped me it damaged the rim requiring it to be repaired. When the wheel was returned it was evident that the repairer had removed all the chrome. It was very clear that it no longer matched the other three wheels. After recontacting my insurer (Shannons) there was agreement that they would replace the rim, unfortunately the rims were out of production and the only place that had them in the USA would not separate a set. So Shannons paid to have all the rims color coded totally to the vehicle.

I dictated how I wanted this to occur to the guys at the Bump shop and away they went to be pained, however when I went to pickup the vehicle I found that the wheels had not been painted to my specifications. The Bump Shop were right onto it without argument and were very apologetic. When I returned a few days later everything was great and I noted that they had fully detailed the car inside and out. It now looks immaculate, I am very happy with the job that the Bump shop did and more particular the customer service that these guys have. Nothing was to much trouble and it was refreshing to not have to argue with a supplier when they did something wrong.

The guys at The Bump Shop were an absolute pleasure to deal with. When I took my vehicle in for a quote they were both prompt and professional. They run a very clean shop and my vehicle was repaired in the timeframe they quoted to exactly "as new" condition. It was handed back to me washed and clean, all in all an excellent experience. If you have a Jaguar or Range Rover, this is the ONLY place to take it.

The team at The Bump Shop did a fantastic job on my car. A reasonable turn around, the car looks better than it did when i picked it up from the showroom. I wouldn't recommend another smash repairer in Brisbane to anyone. The staff are helpful and friendly Thanks again. Abbey

Quality of work is good, customer service isn't the best - especially when they refuse to accept damage after they've washed your car 'as a courtesy'. Might be helpful in future to advise your clients if you plan on offering this service PRIOR to actually doing it!
