Founded by Cheryl McLean after completing a two-year signwriting course in the 1990s, Blackboard Art began with hand-painted signage. The business evolved when Cheryl embraced a niche market—hand-drawn blackboards. Over time, this specialisation flourished, leading to a global presence through workshops and a reputation for vibrant, custom designs that digital methods can't replicate.
