      Barnardos Australia is a leading non-government, non-denominational child protection charity in Australia. We believe all children and young people deserve caring families in which they can grow safely and fulfill their potential. We are committed to supporting Australia's most vulnerable children and their families with quality services.

      At Barnardos Australia we’re proud to be one of Australia’s leading child protection charities. Founded over 130 years ago by Irish philanthropist, Dr Thomas Barnardo, we have helped hundreds of thousands of Australian children in desperate need. For more on our history, click here. Our work protects children through the prevention of abuse and entry into care. When children experience violence and trauma, the effects devastate communities, ruin childhoods and in the worst cases, kill. Families, children and young people will be valued and supported by quality services and engaged communities. Our mission Barnardos Australia builds relationships between children, young people, their families and the community.
