Dr John Downie is an amiable specialist. Nice to talk to and knowledgable. However on average his and his practice time management is below average. On any given appointment he was at least 1-2 hours late. On one day he was 2 hours behind but almost always expect a one hour delay. There shouldn’t be any excuse for poor time management. Totally understand if it’s 20-30 min but to have to sit waiting for 1 1/2 to 2 hours is absurd. Currently with COVID having people wait for that length of time in enclosed spaces is high risk.
Would love to see better consumer support and care. He is still very good so don’t assume he isn’t recommended, he is. Improvement on time management is definitely needed.

I have been seeing Dr Downie for several years now, as I have Type 1 Diabetes.
I have been so impressed with Dr Downie that I have also taken my elderly father along for his appointments. I would highly recommend Dr Downie to everyone.
