      Town & Country Butchers is a true blue old fashioned wholesale and retail butcher shop in Katherine.

      In 2010 we took on the franchise of Lenard’s and now have a great range of fresh chicken that is made into more than 100 different products, every one made fresh on the premises. We are only a small business, but with that comes personal service with the friendliest butchers this side of the black stump. Come and visit Town & Country Butchers in Katherine today.

      Hi I’m Jason Scadden, known as 'The friendly butcher' and this is my family. Megan and myself moved to the territory (Tennant Creek) back in 1993 and worked around until we went to Wave Hill in 1998 and finally into Katherine in 2010. Late last year we had the privilege of taking over and running Town & Country Butchers. With a little help from our girls. We guarantee that at all times we will provide you with the best service and the quality product of your choice. We have over 8 staff members at our wholesale and retail butcher shop.

      All our smallgoods are made in store at our butcher shop and from premium products. You will not find a better quality product in the N.T. Our products are made from recipes that are over 50 years old and come from the experience and secrets of Ivan Voight, my teacher. At Town & Country Butchers in Katherine, we offer:Fresh meat sliced daily MSA certified beef Quality assured Fresh bodies of lamb pork and beef broken down Cry-o-Vac facilities available

      Top grade MSA beef: MSA is a grading system that the Meat industry has developed to guarantee eating quality. Having spent close to $200 Million and with over 600,000 taste tests in the last 12 years, the cattle are graded at the abattoir on approximately 12 different characteristics (Age, Breed, Meat Colour, Fat Colour, Acidity etc). The Industry does not differentiate between High Grade and Low Grade MSA. The meat can either be Grainfed or Grass fed and we label it as such.
