BEWARE DODGEY SCAMMING ALL TYPE CARAVANS IN KIALLA
4 weeks ago I dropped our float off to repair a broken axle.
I then called a week later to see how things were going with a reply they had ordered a new axle … I asked for a figure of costs ( I always like to be financially ready)
He replied he would call the next day and let me know.
Another week on still hadn’t heard from them so another call made asking for a price & update
Was told it will be no more than $1000 maybe even $900 and they would call once the new axle was in.
Yesterday I received a random phone call off another worker (the owner) stating “ pick your float up today and it’s $2200
I said all the above to him he laughed at me.
We went this morning with $1000 cash to pick our float up peacefully
We had a forklift put under our car a van almost rammed into the front of our turned off Ute and a rattle gun put at the head of my partner!
I CALLED THE POLICE when arriving they made this man remove the forklift and said that all the “extra work not asked for shouldn’t have been done without permission or even communication!”
We had no idea lights globes and other things were touched at all I don’t know what else because I never even got given an invoice !” Nor was one ready for us on arrival.
The police and I tryed to come to a reasoning with the man giving what was quoted and vcat do it could be heard before a judge
He didn’t want a bar of any of it !
Even though admitting to quoting $1000
And also admitting he had done work he wasn’t asked to do he was keeping our float apparently.. we also in the whole 4 weeks never got one phone call from this business DODGY!!!

While recently towing our caravan away for a few days we experienced the unfortunate event of a wheel coming off our van at 95km per hour. Fortunately no one was hurt and we managed to pull it over to the side of the road. After contacting All Type Caravans they were on site quickly and able to fix the damage so we could continue on our way. Thanks to Steve and Kim for their prompt, professional service.
