Took a starter motor there to get repaired, was told that it needed a new armature that had to be air freighted and was the last one in the country. Starter motor failed on first start after repair, our in house auto sparky pulled it apart and found no new armature and it was a common Bosch starter. The actual problem was a spacer that stopped the dust cover shorting out the armature had worn down. Made a new spacer and fixed it our selves. When confronted the owner said that because we had “tampered” (fixed) it there was no come back. Scammers do yourself a favour and stay away!

They are great service and I have recommend them to all my family and friend, they have all said nothing but good things about their experience with Dinkum Auto. They are a great family business that do a good job at a good price I have used them for more them 10 years periodically and will continue in the future. I drive past two auto electricians to get to them. I am extremely happy with their service.
