Quin's has been a well-respected name in the marine industry in Australia since 1921, In 1836 Captain Hugh Quin arrived in the new colony of South Australia aboard the ship 'Cygnet'. Captain Hugh's grandson, Hugh Quin Jnr (18880-1950) became the renowned sailmaker to the local fishing fleet, founding Hugh Quin P/L and establishing a sail loft in September 1921.
