Premier Palms is a Palm, Cycad and Tropical plant Nursery located in Perth – Western Australia. The Nursery has been operating since 1995 supplying plants to Landscapers, Retailers and the General Public. The nursery is family owned by Memory and Richard who is a qualified Horticulturist and have been nursery owners for over 30 years. Premier Palms is located at 4 Dempster Place (off Neaves Road) Mariginiup, Wanneroo
Dig a hole little larger than the root ball of the palm and dig in at least half a bag of animal manure or compost. Cover the compost with a layer of soil so that the roots will not be in direct contact with the compost. Gently knock the palm out of its pot and without disturbing the roots, place it into the hole with the base of the palm just below the surface. Once planted and watered, the area should be covered with mulch to retain moisture. Keep well watered for the next few weeks.
The nursery is well stocked with a wide variety of palms, cycads, tropical plants along with an assortment of shrubs and ground covers to choose from. We get fresh stock in on a regular basis. Foxtails, Bangalow and many other palms in groups of 3 or more, spaced 1 to 2 metres apart, look really spectacular and give a more tropical effect. Palms suited to group plantings include: Foxtails, Alexandra, Bangalow, Kentia, Cuban Royal, Australian Ribbon, Chinese Fan, Footstool, Bamboo, Cascade, Metallic, Pacaya (Tepejilote) and Parlour Palms are just some of many that can be used. Most large wide palms (ie Canary Island Date, Jelly etc) do not lend themselves to group plantings and are best planted on their own.
