What should I look for in a Physio?

It can be hard to find the right Physio, but after 15 years of practice I think the following things are important. They have to listen to you first then decide on a treatment plan that works for you and your lifestyle. We all have busy demanding lives, because of this every patient needs a different plan. Finally, right Physio focuses on predominantly hands on treatments.

How should I feel after treatment?

It is normal, depending on your treatment, to feel a little sore. Ideally, if the treatment is targeted and delivered correctly you will improve over the next couple of days. Essentially, the Physio has to mobilise and release parts of your body, in the treatment, to get them functioning correctly. This can be painful but it should feel like "good pain" not injury type pain.

Does Melton Physio charge a gap for Medicare?

There is no gap for Medicare patients. To be seen under Medicare you need a referral from your doctor (Chronic Disease Management Plan). With this you can get up to 5 visit per year. At Melton Physio we don't charge a gap for these visits.
