We offer a range of general dental treatments, including fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, dentures, root canal treatment, mouth guards, teeth whitening, scale and cleans and kids dentistry.       Welcome Dental Sense is a family owned and run dental practice (by Dr Nicole Hocek and Brett Wilson) located in Midland, in the eastern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. Dental Sense has been providing quality, value for money, dental treatment for over 20 years to the people of Midland and greater City of Swan. We are a smile.com.au approved dentist, HCF preferred provider, and NIB first choice network provider, and we also accept all major health funds. As a result our patients can expect lower out of pocket costs. We also bulk bill Veterans Affairs patients and kids eligible for Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule. So therefore no out of pocket costs on treatment! We offer a range of general dental treatments, including fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, dentures, root canal treatment, wisdom teeth removal, mouth guards, teeth whitening, scale and cleans, kids dentistry and occlusal splints. Appointments are also structured to deliver care at the highest possible standards in a relaxed and caring environment. As a result, we cater well for patients who are nervous, or who suffer dental phobia or anxiety. With this approach, Dental Sense has become renown. We are well located in the heart of Midland, with free patient parking at the door, and are easily accessible from Guildford, Bassendean, Midvale, Swan View, Middle Swan, Stratton, Helena Valley and surrounding areas. Our staff Dr Nicole Hocek (BDSc –UWA Hons) Principal Dentist Dr Nicole Hocek graduated with honours from the University of Western Australia in 2008. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, however has a special interest in oral surgery. Nicole has been credentialed to operate at both Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital and St John of God Midland, so she is able to perform all procedures under a general anaesthetic. She still operates a list at both hospitals regularly, so if you would like to enquire about treatment under a general anaesthetic give our clinic a call on 08 9250 8844. Nicole also regularly performs treatment under IV Sedation in the clinic (often referred to as sleep dentistry or twilight sedation). The sedation is performed by a trained dental anaesthetist and similar to GA it is great for those who have dental phobia or anxiety. In addition to general dentistry, Nicole has done additional training and is able to perform the following procedures: - Wisdom teeth extractions - Anti-wrinkle injections - Dermal Filler treatments (Lip fillers) - Therapeutic injectables for treatment of bruxism - Dental Implants Nicole has previously practiced in Mandurah, Kwinana and Kalgoorlie. Dr Adam Peermamode (BDSc – UWA) Associate Dentist Dr Adam Peermamode graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2014. He has worked for Nicole and Brett at their Kalgoorlie clinic since graduating, and proven to be a dedicated dentist who always does the best by his patients. Adam has also been credentialed to operate at Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital and and would regularly perform procedures under a general anaesthetic. Adam has a special interest in treating periodontal disease (gum disease), and has done additional training and education in this area. He also enjoys oral surgery, specifically extraction of wisdom teeth, something he has been mentored by Dr Nicole Hocek for a number of years. In his time in Kalgoorlie Adam would also practice one day a week in one of the Aboriginal health clinics (Bega Garnbirringu Health Service), providing emergency and ongoing care for indigenous patients. Adam had a real passion for the work he was doing there, he worked closely with the staff to understand and respect the cultural differences when treating patients at Bega. Services
