General Info

Dr Alyse Price-Tobler provides professional counselling and psychotherapy for specialist mental health & intellectual challenges.

Dr. Alyse Price-Tobler is here to support you in regaining your well-being within a safe, nonjudgmental setting. She is a fully qualified clinical psychotherapist and counsellor specialising in assisting adult and child survivors of severe psychological abuse. Dr. Price-Tobler holds a Ph.D. in this field and a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychotherapy and Counselling

The immediate goal of a psychotherapist is to settle and alleviate emotional pain experienced by the client. This consists of a series of conversations filled with unconditional positive regard for the client before any treatment can begin. This allows the client to feel understood and heard, enabling the therapist to see through the eyes of the client, allowing for a deeper understanding before any therapeutic intervention can be made. What Is Starting With A Counsellor Like? Sometimes, the hardest part is just making the initial call. You may have had a recent event that has really upset you and given you the impetus to make the call. If you feel confused or distressed, you will be taken seriously and encouraged to explore the thoughts that are upsetting you by a qualified and experienced therapist. These conversations are entered into with a spirit of sensitivity, understanding and warmth. Clients are invited to speak about anything that is troubling them.

Clinical Psychotherapists are mental health practitioners who come into advanced clinical work through training in the field of psychology, counselling, social work, mental health nursing and general practice medicine. Psychotherapists are also known as counsellors. Clinical Psychotherapists do not give advice but aim to create within the client, a condition of self-reflection and personal insight. Clinical Psychotherapists are also trained in advanced counselling. Clinical Psychotherapists register with PACFA must meet stringent requirement to use this title.

Very professional & comfortable & you will feel very comfortable & welcome.

I have been a patient/client of the owner, Alyse Price Tobler since the beginning of 2019. Alyse has a very good manner & will very quickly have you feeling like a good Friend. She is a very caring & empathetic person who can personally relate to a lot of her Client's issues. She helped me to change the way I was thinking about a VERY serious upcoming permanently life changing surgery & totally took me from really freaking out about it, to the point of accepting it & remaining totally calm about it right up to the injection of anesthetic that knocked me out & also helped me a lot with my recovery. She is very generous & not ridiculously expensive like a lot of other therapist's. She is a very lovely, honest, open & wonderful person. Their isn't an issue she can't address & help you with. I highly recommend her to anyone of any age with any possible issue they are dealing with in their life. She is an amazing individual & you will be very impressed with her. Thankyou for your life changing advice Alyse & I look forward to all the help you will give me in the future. You're the best!!

Thankyou

I have been seeing Alyse for some time now and her work helping me through my battle with PTSD and anxiety has been a positive experience. As a first responder, I had seen several psychologists prior to receiving counselling and psychotherapy through Alyse but was not able to connect with them on the same level. Alyse has made me feel safe in our interactions allowing me to open up at my own pace in way had not been able to in the past. Alyse is warm, understanding and never judgmental. I leave feeling calmer and with clearer direction as Alyse has taught me how to find myself again which has helped me move forward. She has given me the support to feel confident and trust in my own decisions. Alyse has a passion for helping others and has gone above and beyond to help me.

Amazing business and service

I have been seeing Alyse for years now. Alyse is a professional and expert at her job. Alyse is very welcoming and I always feel happy and safe when I visit her. I always feel empowered after I see Alyse too. Alyse has changed my life for the better with her help. She has given me strength to continue my life and she has taught me to be courageous, strong and most importantly she has reminded me what happiness is about.

Before I began to start seeing Alyse I felt lost, alone and extremely depressed. With therapy from Alyse she has changed my insight on life and I no longer feel alone and lost. I have my bad days with feeling low and sad like everyone however, Alyse has taught me strategies and how to cope with those bad days to turn those bad days in to good days and to remind myself to feel happy.

I also battle with anxiety and I stress easily. Alyse has taught me how to cope and how to learn to deal with my anxiety in a positive manner and how to feel stronger.

Alyse has gone above and beyond for me and I honestly can not thank her enough for her help and support.

Thank you Alyse.

I started seeing Alyse in 1997 initially for mindfulness training. I had never considered counselling before I approached Alyse but over the years at different points of crisis, she gave me the fundamental tools and knowledge, support and courage which made a significant difference to the way I look at the challenges of life. Her sessions were eye-opening, heart-restarting, strengthening and educating. I've learned a lot about myself. Alyse is a true professional & seemed to know exactly what I needed to progress at any point in time whether it be firm communication, moral support or new insightful lessons. Through lots of talking, tears, laughter & work, I feel Ive gone from wondering if I would survive, to taking the opportunity to look at the world with fresh, optimistic eyes. Im happy to say Im excited about the future & feel stronger & lighter.

Alyse has also recently been seeing my teenage daughter for severe anxiety and school refusal and we found that after each session, Jane came home with suggestions and approaches to put into practice, and it gave her the sense that she could deal with whatever was ahead for her. Alyse has a natural rapport and I've really appreciated her keen insight, her honesty and her communication with me that maintained my daughters privacy, but still kept me fully in the loop.

It may sound cliche but counselling has proved to be a massive life-changing experience for our family. The difference now is that we can understand what our emotions might mean and how we can deal with them better. Our heartfelt and genuine thanks go to you Alyse for bringing us through some of the difficult processes we all deal with in our life journey. We wont hesitate to call on your services again when needed.
