May I use floor tiles on the walls?
Floor tiles can be used on walls, however, keep in mind the size & weight of the tile. Additionally, some wall tiles are not suitable to be used on floors as they may scratch or break due to low load-bearing capabilities.
What are Mosaic tiles?
Mosaic tiles are 50 mm x 50 mm square or smaller, & can be manufactured from porcelain, glass, stainless steel, glazes porcelain & ceramic tiles. Mosaics are also available in other shapes such as circular or rectangular. They can be installed individually or can be found pre-mounted on mesh or paper sheets. Mosaics may be glazed or unglazed.
Is it possible to tile over old tiles?
Yes, you can tile over existing tiles. The old tiles surface and substrate will need to be in good repair (no cracks, broken or loose tiles, suitable substrate) & a special adhesive will need to be used. This is best administered by a qualified tradesperson.
