Our staff, who all are ex or current dancers, will explain all the little extras you may find with dancing.
Costume & Ballet Centre started in 1976, in Wellington Street, as a dance-wear store that manufactured costumes for dancers, gymnasts & ice skaters, and during its years of supplying dancers with their dancing needs has evolved from specialising in costumes to specialising in pointe shoes & their fittings.
I started dancing when I was three years old and danced and performed in nearly every style imaginable, from Ballet to Theatrical to Highland dancing. I began working at Costume & Ballet Centre 24 years ago, whilst I was still training and performing and worked my way up the ranks to now being the proprietor for the 20 past years. All staff are fully trained in correct fitting of jazz, tap, Spanish, character, ballet shoes & uniforms.
