Skirmish Samford Paintball is Brisbane’s original and most iconic outdoor paintball venue, operating since 1988. Nestled in the scenic Samford Valley, we offer an adrenaline-fueled experience across sprawling battlefields designed to immerse players in real-world combat scenarios. Our facility features a massive 189-square-meter fortress with three fighting levels and six towers, interconnected by interactive Mechatronic Battle Bunkers and the Iron Dome.
We cater to all types of groups from birthday parties and corporate team-building events to bucks/hens celebrations and casual weekend warriors. Our sessions are designed for maximum fun and safety, with high-quality equipment and trained staff ensuring every player gets the most out of their experience. What’s included in a session?
All necessary gear, safety equipment, and paintballs. Packages vary by deal.
Who Can Play?
At Skirmish Samford Paintball, the minimum age to play paintball at Skirmish Samford Paintball is 15 years. Proof of age may be required.
What Do I Bring?
Bring along your outdoor style footwear (no smooth soles or heels). Players must have fully enclosed footwear to play. You can play in any old clothes you want, however dark / hard to see colours are best.
Do I need to pay a deposit to book?
No deposit bookings are available.
Are all Paintball Fields the Same?
No way. Looking through these pages you may have noticed the massive fort, the battle bunker and the iron dome. These represent just a small aspect of the overall investment put into the battle fields for your paintballing experience.
Does It Hurt?
Not as much as you might think! As the paintballs punch through the air and thump into your cover, your senses will heightened. As the action escalates, the adrenalin will pump, as you try to evade the incoming paintballs.
How Long Are The Games?
The session comprises of several games that vary in length. They could be as short as 5 minutes to as long as 20 minutes. Remember each game is unique and you’ll never be out of the action for long. Don’t worry, there are rest breaks throughout the session to “relax and tell tall tales of your playing skills
What Happens?
When you arrive, be it with a group, club, workmates, or just by yourself, you are split into two teams. Then after being given a participants briefing by the staff, the fun begins. No matter what your fitness, sex or even personality, there is something for everyone to enjoy by playing paintball.

What's It Like?

We took our disable son to Samford Skirmash to watch his nephew celebrate his 16 th birthday. a fantastic outdoor setting and great atmosphere. Our thanks to Tim the owner for putting us in a safe location to watch all the action.I would just like to say the thoughtful staff and welcoming enviroment made a hugh difference.Our Grandson and friends had an awesome ecperience, and are keen to visit again

Our grandson had his 16th birthday at Skirmish Samford and has an absolute blast. The team were super friendly, welcoming and really knew their stuff. They made everything easy and fun for the whole group including the adults. Big thanks to everyone for helping make this day so special, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Had a blast here last sunday. Fields were great, the first game had this huge fort, then some good old capture the flag and a couple of Attack/Defensive games. What a Day, full on fun with a bunch of awesome people. Hats of to the blokes running the joint.
Absolute legends here!

Had a fantastic experience at skirmish Stanford paintball where I had to leave some valuables with the owner and they were looked after, couldn’t have asked for better service, better value for money and my whole team had a fantastic day. Thumbs up to these guys. What an awesome business.

Had the most disappointing experience here. Appalling behaviour from the owner.
Was supposed to be a fun 16th birthday party but turned into a nightmare which has been referred to the police. Sixteen year old guests were told to put their phones and jewellery into numbered boxes which were then put by staff into the ‘cloakroom’ for safekeeping whilst players were in the field. My son put his phone and his necklace into a numbered box, as did his friend’s place their own phones, wallets and accessories etc into their own. The box numbers corresponded to customers’ wristband tags.
On returning from the field, and going to collect his box, my son found that the necklace had gone. My son queried where it was, and the owner started to blame him for having misplaced it, or losing it in the field, as apparently “it happens all the time”. I’m sure it does, however, there were numerous witnesses that saw the guest put the necklace into the box.
The wrongful blame and the injustice of it all inflamed the 16 year old, who demanded his necklace back. The argument unfortunately escalated further, where the owner (Tim) had to be physically restrained by others. This behaviour is not acceptable for anyone, but especially from an adult business owner!!
I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone, especially for kid’s or teenager parties. It’s not just that an item of jewellery of sentimental value was lost or stolen in their care (which we now realise was quite valuable) but it’s been the inflammatory accusations that the necklace must’ve been lost in the field (despite multiple witnesses seeing my son put the necklace into a box which was put into the cloakroom) and the physical challenging of my son to a fight. Seriously, who was the adult here??
It also makes me wonder, how many other people have ‘lost’ items of value at this place?

Played my first game of paintball here so many years ago, back when the markers were gravity feed pump or bolt action. The field was was like a bush and really fun to play at, but over the years with so many people playing there was not much left. The paintball store was great and purchased alot from them. Good memories!
