United Scrap Metal Traders has been part of Queensland’s recycling landscape since 1987. Over the years, we’ve built strong relationships across the region, including Eagle Farm and its surrounding areas, by delivering prompt, honest, and professional scrap metal services. Known for quality and consistency, we support domestic, commercial, and industrial clients throughout Brisbane and surrounding regions. Our site is well-equipped with electronic scales, safe parking, and efficient facilities, making it easy for customers to drop off scrap or arrange a collection.
We’ve invested in a full fleet of vehicles, including Marrel and crane trucks, along with heavy-duty excavators to handle materials of all shapes and sizes. Do you accept small amounts?
If you have 1kg or 10,000 kg we would love to see you
Do I need to be a registered business to sell scrap to you?
No, you do not need to be a business or have an ABN. However, if the scrap you are selling is from a business or you are conducting a business collecting and selling scrap you will need to provide us with an ABN, or we must withhold 46.5% from your payment and remit it to the Tax Office. If you can demonstrate that your scrap is non-commercial then we are able to buy scrap from you within limits defined by the Tax Office.
How much will you pay for my scrap?
Our week-by-week pricing policy ensures when the price of your scrap metal rises, we pass the rise on to you.
Do you have a truck weighbridge?
Our weighbridge has a capacity of 60 tonnes and can accommodate a 60-foot semi-trailer
What happens to the scrap after I sell it to you?
Scrap metal is one of the most recyclable products in the world. By recycling you are helping to reduce the amount of mining, water use, greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption required to produce new metal. That's great for the environment and great for your wallet
What is a Statement by Supplier?
Should the amount of scrap metal be over the value of $300.00, a private person must sign a Statement by Supplier stating where they obtained the scrap.
Can you collect my scrap metal?
Yes – United Scrap will collect your scrap metal from your home or factory. Depending on the quantity and type of scrap to be collected there may be a charge. Call us for more details
Will you sort my scrap metal for me?
Yes, we have a team of highly trained metal sorters at your disposal, at no cost to you.
Do you pay cash for scrap metal?
Yes, we pay cash and all we need is appropriate I.D (drivers Licence) or in case of a business, an ABN number.
I need a scrap metal bin; how can I get one?
You will need to call us on 07 3890 2637 and arrange with one of our representatives to have a bin delivered to your business (delivery and pickup is free).
