The job was to temporarily remove solar hot water tubes so a roofer could replace the colourbond roof. The tubes were disconnected, moved 2m and then they left so the roofers could do their job. They returned about an hour later and reconnected the solar tubes. The job was done very well, no problems. Total time on site was 4 hrs max.
The bill was $1870. I questioned this, and was told service call was $150, two plumbers for 5 hours @$150 each per hour. (it was most definitely not 5hours onsite) Making the bill ;material $50, labour $1500, service call $150, plus G.S.T. OF $170 =$1870. FOR 4 HOURS.
I have since spoken to several other plumbers and asked for a quote for this job. Prices varied from $850 to $1150. lesson learnt , don't ring Narara Plumbing for a quote.
Only good news was the job was done well.

Gavin and his crew are great. I have used him for 12 years now and have always found him to do a good job at a fair price.

We rung Narara Plumbing Services early February 2013 and had organised with them a suitable time and date for them to come out, but unfortunately they didn't show up as scheduled. We had no phone call from them or apologies to advise they were going to be late, so I assumed they were not coming at all. Four and half hours later that day a plumber shows up on our doorstep, but not the original plumber that we had called, but someone else on their behalf.
This was really inconsiderate and was an inconvenient time as I had to pick children up from school within the next 20 minutes, I was not happy!!!
Still no apologies were given and then we were told that Narara Plumbing Services which we had originally rung, were on holidays and that he had organised someone else to carry out the work for him but he had neglected to tell his replacement the appointment time and neglected to ask us if this was all okay for someone to come in his place.
On top of that, the new plumber didn't seem very confident with what he was doing and now we have to replace bricks that were removed from the exterior of our house.
We have been waiting for 4 weeks now for Narara Plumbing Services to call but no one has bothered.
This company really needs to learn some communication and time management skills.
We will never be using Narara Plumbing Services ever again due to the lack of customer service, honestly, communications and we will not be recommendingthem.
