      Established in 1983, Blackwood Tree Service is now a 2nd generation local family run business. Managing Director Keir Hietanen, was handed the keys after over a decade of working in the business. From learning the ropes to being Head Climber and Team Leader, Blackwood Tree Service now boasts a great new location on the main road of Blackwood and continues to provide a valued local service.

      Certain trees are protected by the Development Act 1993. The legislation was amended in 2011 to offer a two tiered system. Significant Trees: trunk circumference >3m and Regulated Trees: trunk circumference between 2m and 3m. Blackwood Tree Service will be able to assist you in determining if your tree fits into either tier. There are, however, some exemptions from controls under this legislation.
